Evan's Eyes

Evan at the Movies:

Sure, the critics might love a movie, but don't you want to know whether you'll love it? Evan goes beyond a thumbs-up with the Eight-Facet Info Rating system.

These aren't like the myriad other reviews, that just give a quick summation of the story, or allow the reviewer to show off his film-school training with a critique of the cinematography and stylistic derivations. When part of the joy of film is the discovery of the events, why learn what happens before you see it?

If you like the review and the movies in the "comparables" list, you're likely to enjoy the movie. You may disagree. What makes a "good" movie is subjective, considering the industry ranges from Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider to Meryl Streep and Kenneth Branagh.
