OBSERVE AND REPORT

I found this movie so unappealing that I can't properly review it. I try to make my reviews reflect the tone or experience of watching the film, but to do that, I'd have you imagine being coerced by an acquaintance into having anal sex. It's crude and offensive and the reality of such a thing is way over the line. Just like this movie. It's supposed to be a dark comedy, but they forgot the comedy part. And thought that "dark" = "offensive." Alcoholism! Haha! Unmedicated mental illness! Riotous laughter! Excessive brutality! Hee hee hee! It's like going to see a stand-up comedian, then discovering that he's not funny and he's mentally unstable and you spend the entire time wondering if you're going to see someone get bashed in the face with a mic stand. I suppose it's a comedy because the ending isn't tragic, although the protagonist should be in jail facing multiple criminal charges and a couple civil suits. I really can't believe that this has an IDMB rating over 6. One of the characters accidentally sums up this movie at about the 52:00 minute mark: "I thought this was going to be kinda funny, but it's actually just kinda sad." I can't really think of good cinematic comparisons, but perhaps you'll like this movie if you enjoy one or more of the following: Having a panhandler follow you around downtown while screaming obscenities Discovering you stepped in dog crap and have tracked it around your home Being hit in the face with a Maglight Overall Rating: 1 (where 1=Worthless, 10=Fabulous) Eight-Facet Info Rating, rated on a scale of 0 (None) to 4 (Lots!)):
