Web Log Entry #0092, Tuesday, December 2, 2003: Day 379
Anchorage Sunrise: 9:46am Sunset: 3:50pm High Temp: 6° Low Temp: -13° Cold. Damn cold. But I'm counting the days, which helps. Did I mention that the Client FINALLY decided about the end of our contract? I guess not. Here's the scoop: After weeks of indecision, Stan and I got the word mid-November that our contracts would end December 19th. This worked out well for me, since I was planning on heading south for the Nichols Clan Annual Solstice Gathering on the 20th. Airplane seats were getting scarce and expensive, but I quickly booked travel to Portland for the night of December 16th, and I had the Date. In two weeks, I leave Alaska. I may get maudlin about it later, but right now it's all I can do to keep from prancing about chanting "I'm going HOME! I'm going HOME!" I think I'll go prance a bit right now.
