Evan's Eyes

What the #$*! Dq vS (k)pow!?

This movie probes serious, deep questions about how merely observing Reality can change Reality. After seeing the Premiere, I can answer the one question that will be on the mind of virtually everyone who is considering seeing this film:
No, you don't get to see Marlee Matlin naked.

Despite that, it's not a bad movie. It's 80% science/metaphysical documentary, 20% story; kind of a "Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control" meets "Wizard of Space and Time." A few points lost for gratuitous special effects (hey guys, "more" is not always "better"!), but if you've never seen J. Z.Knight doing her little "Ramtha" routine before, it's a hoot! That alone is almost worth the price of admission.

If you know nothing about quantum physics, you may find the concepts mind-boggling. If you are a "New Age" metaphysical novice, you may be incredulous, or awestruck. If you have previously discussed how much a thought weighs, or whether we could change the past, you may wish they go beyond the fast snippets of "Reality 101."

Be aware, this is a highly unusual film. You may not enjoy it if you don't like movies where people TALK about things, rather than just having a story. You might want to pass on this movie if you're an unwavering pragmatist or religious fundamentalist. If you're put off by the title, well, you're right, it's a terrible title. What the #$*! were GHey GHihKing?

I'm inferring from the material that Fred Alan Wolf (Ph.D.) will be at the every showing of this film simultaneously, but only appear at the one when someone looks at him, or something like that. If that makes absolutely no sense to you, you can learn something from watching, so check it out. Don't pay a lot, see it with friends, and afterward, discuss whether your viewing of the movie changed it somehow. Trust me, it will make sense.

If you liked the movies below, you'll probably like this one (and vice versa):

  • Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control
  • Wizard of Space and Time
  • Winged Migration
